Transit System: NJ Transit / Academy Bus (both bus companies use the stop)
Location: Howell Transportation Center, Howell, NJ, USAThis is one of 7 major "transportation centers" along the heavily travelled Rt. 9 corridor in Central NJ, which has 3 NJ Transit
bus routes and 2 Academy Bus routes running along it. This is the least used of all of these "park-and-ride" transportation centers, however it still gets a pretty good useage. This bus stop has
frequent service to New York City, Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken, Wall St., Toms River, Lakewood, and Freehold, NJ. This transportation center is about 90 minutes south of New York City, at the southern end
of the line, and the last stop for many trips. Pictures were taken from a camera phone, so not the best quality. P.S. - The first image (busstop_h.jpeg) is a view of the 139 route stop as seen from the
parking lot. The second image (busstop_sign_how.jpeg) is a closeup of the Rt. 67 sign. Pictures coutesey of Matt R. |
