A lot of people have found our site while looking for their local transit agency. It would be impossible for us to maintain schedules for the over 350 different districts
represented here. Here are some hints as to how to find the schedules you may be looking for. Be advised, not all districts have WWW pages. Most of the bigger ones will, a lot of the
smaller ones do not.
- Do a search on the district you want. This can get mixed results, as you probably have in finding this site, but if they have an official site it will usually appear. Example, you are
trying to find the schedules for DART, if you search for DART you might get any one of at least 3 different districts, and a lot of pages about small pointy things that are thrown in pubs. The
more specific you are the better the results might be. Looking for Douglas Area Rural Transit will yield different results then searching for Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
- Go to one of many portal sites for links to various districts. This might be busstation.net, Routes
International or for the USA, APTA has a fairly good site that lists them by state and region of state (Usually County & City).
- I have found more then one site by doing a WWW search for the city I want, and adding the words transit, or public transit. You can also try adding the word schedules in addition to transit.
- You can also search for the city you are interested in, and if you find the cities home page, or the chamber of commerce, they will often have information about public transit in the city or a link
to the local districts site.
- If you are looking for shuttles to airports, try looking for a WWW site for the airport.
I hope this helps you in your search for the bus/train/trolley etc. that you are hunting. |
