There are many stops in each districts area that the drivers must hate. On this page are pictures of some of these stops. The reasons can either by ADA issues, or other operational
problems. |

Saratoga City Hall |
Superficially this stop looks okay. However, all the buses stopping at this stop have to make the left turn at the next street. The stop is located beyond the beginning
of the left turn lane. This left turn lane is very busy during morning hours due to the college located on the corner. This stop actually looks better than it used to. In the
past it wasn't even accessible to pedestrians. This one generates many complaints from the drivers. |

Morgan Hill - Holiday Lake Estates |
This stop isn't complained about, but still has problems with accessibility. The bus must block the lane of traffic to stop, and then between the bus and the sign is a stone
lined gutter. This stop has since been moved due to a change in routing. |

San Jose - Saratoga & Country Lane |
This stop has a severe problem with accessibility. It is located on an island about 2 feet wide between the main street and a frontage road providing access for the adjacent
housing. There are two more stops like this one on this stretch of Saratoga Ave. |

San Jose - Liberty & Taylor (Alviso) |
This stop initially looks good with a shelter, bench, and trash can. However, there is a narrow sidewalk with a step up to the waiting area making this stop very difficult for
the disabled to use. The person standing at the stop is testing GPS equipment for doing a bus stop inventory to support a new radio/AVL/APC system. |

Gilroy - Farell & Wren |
Okay, the passengers wait in the middle of the street and then climb in through the drivers window. Yep you got it, this stop is in the middle of the street. This stop
was moved to a more proper site in of July, 2000. |

These two pictures show the same stop. One is taken from the sidewalk, while the other is taken from the street. The bus drivers would have an easier time seeing this stop if the
drove down the sidewalk (of course they don't) |

Lake of the Pines, California - Combie Deli & Spirits |
The main problem here is lack of a sidewalk. This area gets a fair amount of rain in the winter so the stop is usually a puddle. |

Fullerton, California - Malvern & Euclid |
The former champion nasty OCTA stop. ADA compliance? Ha! The APTA inspector turned every shade of green ever
used by Chicago Transit Authority when this was included on his tour, and it was closed down within weeks. Eastbound Malvern, nearside Euclid, Fullerton CA. |
